ShotSnap is built with privacy by design — we collect only the minimal data necessary to provide subscriptions and improve performance. We never save your screenshots or prompts, and we never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

• Application means the ShotSnap software provided for macOS or Windows.
• Company ("we," "us," or "our") refers to ShotSnap.

We collect only the data necessary to operate and improve ShotSnap.

A. Subscription and Account Data

When you purchase a subscription or create an account, we collect:

• Your payment or billing information (handled securely by Stripe)
• Optional contact details for support or receipts

This information is used solely for managing your subscription, sending renewal reminders, and providing customer support.

We do not store your credit card details — all payment processing is securely handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

B. Screenshot and AI Processing

When you use ShotSnap to take a screenshot and send it to the AI:

• The screenshot is temporarily processed on your device.
• It is transmitted securely and directly to OpenAI's API for AI processing.
• We do not store or access the screenshot, prompt, or response.

All AI interactions are processed in real-time and never stored by ShotSnap.

C. Analytics Data

We use Aptabase to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how people use the app and improve its performance.

Aptabase collects only non-personal data, such as:

• App version and platform
• General usage patterns (e.g., which features are used)
• Performance metrics and crash reports

Aptabase does not collect screenshots, prompts, personal identifiers, or any user content.

We use the collected information only for these purposes:

• To provide and maintain your subscription.
• To contact you regarding billing, updates, or support.
• To improve the app experience through anonymous analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes if necessary.

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties unrelated to ShotSnap's functionality.

• Screenshot and AI data are not stored at all by ShotSnap.

Because ShotSnap does not store any screenshots, prompts, or AI data, there is no user-generated content to delete.

ShotSnap is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided information, contact us immediately so we can remove it.
